1. There was an old soldier
And he had a wooden leg; He had no tobacco,
And no tobacco could he beg.
Chorus
So save up your money
And throw away your rocks,1
And you'll always have tobacco In your old tobacco box.
2. Said the soldier to the sailor,
"Won't you give me a chew?" "0 no," said the sailor,
'Til be dogged if I do!"
